The League
A professional nonprofit league platform built to support live events, official standards, sponsorship, streaming, and media storytelling — and carry Indian Relay to a larger stage.
What PIRL Adds
A unified rulebook and professional event standards across every sanctioned race.
Safer, more consistent competition environments for riders and horses alike.
Clear points and championship qualification systems everyone can follow.
Stronger storytelling for riders, teams, families, and horse relatives.
A platform that helps attract sponsors, fans, media, and larger prize purses.
A future system designed to support both men's and women's professional divisions.
League Structure
The long-term model under development may include four competitive divisions, alongside regular-season events, wildcard competition, and a season-ending championship. These structures are planned and remain subject to Board approval.
The top tier of men's professional relay competition.
A development tier and pathway toward the Premier division.
Elite women's relay racing on the professional stage.
A growing tier expanding opportunity in women's relay.
PIRL is not replacing the spirit of Indian Relay. It is building the professional stage for it.
